Obama has lost the respect of the American people

"Obama has lost the respect of the American people," he said, "Particularly that of the our military."

This sentiment was overheard at a popular restaurant in Greenville, S.C. The significance of such a thing being expressed openly cannot be overstated.

D-Day Commemoration

Today we commemorate D-Day, the day the United States and its allies invaded  Normandy on June 6, 1944. This would be the major turning point in World War II. Fatalities were high but the brave soldiers from the United States, Great Britain, and other allied nations pushed forward to overwhelm the Nazis.

No better speech was ever given by an American president than Ronald Wilson Reagan's much acclaimed commemoration on the 40th anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1984. It proved to be most memorable due not only to Reagan's unsurpassed eloquence but the deep emotion he expressed that day.

Here is the video of that speech:

To Dutch

I did not forget this, the tenth anniversary of the death of President Ronald Reagan, known affectionately as "Dutch" or "The Gipper."

As always there were things he did that I disagreed with. I have never agreed 100 percent with any president, no matter how much I admired them. Such was the case with Reagan. But most of it I enthusiastically supported, particularly bringing about the downfall of the Soviet Union and the subsequent tearing down of the Berlin Wall. These things simply had to be done.

I could go on and on, but I won't. The bottom line is I loved the man and believed that his presidency represented a refreshing, life-saving respite from the relentless march toward collectivism in our own nation.

Yes, Dutch, I remembered, and I won't ever forget, just as I promised.

After all, if you are against my freedom of speech, then you won't mind if I outlaw your freedom of speech, will ya???!!! Nahhhhh, I knew you wouldn't you jerk.

A dire warning from a former Obama supporter

"We have entered a most dangerous period in U.S. history," he said, "And nobody knows thus far how it will turn out in the end." These are the words of a former Obama supporter who has turned negative on the president and current leadership in Congress, as well as the Supreme Court.

"The thing that complicates the entire fiasco," he continued, "Is that nobody in government seems to be telling the truth. When the people lose faith in government officials to be honest and straightforward with them, one has to wonder if there is any way for the nation to survive."

Potpourri in the political pot

Excerpt:
Have you heard these things before? Of course you did. We all did. This is what Obama said he would do. Most Americans, however, did not have a clue as to what he meant. He meant that the Constitution and Bill of Rights would be made null and void while publicly claiming allegiance and adherence to them. In fact, everything he said he would never do, he has done. And everything he said he would do, he has not done. The only conclusion to which one can come is that if Obama and his minions say one thing, you can count on them doing the opposite. This is their modus operandi.

And no nation on earth can survive when the leaders at the top, even if they are "democratically elected," lie incessantly to the citizens. Every single thing this president has done has been based on a lie...

Watchdogs wary of renewed administration target of 'homegrown extremists'

Excerpt:
Holder further claims that the administration is once again concerned about the growth of homegrown terrorists -- U.S. citizens who join up with Islamist terrorist groups such as al Qaeda and the Taliban. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under its former secretary Janet Napolitano had begun to monitor, infiltrate, and smoke out members of terror-connected groups in the United States.

But Napolitano took an enormous amount of heat from the public over several internal memos that were leaked to the press, indicating that DHS considers conservative, evangelical Christians, members of the Tea Party, citizens who support former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, and those who carry copies of the U.S. Constitution and espouse its precepts as "potential homegrown terrorists."
