D.C. chief: 'We will arrest armed protesters'

Armed protesters who plan to march across the Arlington Memorial Bridge into Washington, D.C. on July 4 will have a special greeting committee awaiting them on the other side. The D.C. police department will be out in full force ready to arrest any and all who cross the bridge into D.C. with loaded rifles.

Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier stated to Politico that officers will be standing on the D.C. side of the bridge awaiting the protesters who plan to show their outrage over D.C.'s stringent gun control laws by carrying loaded rifles into Washington.

Big trouble brews for Obama, Democrats

Big trouble is brewing for Barack Obama and the Democrats on numerous fronts.
What is developing is the perfect political storm, a gathering of dark clouds on every corner, and in every direction.

First, veteran Democratic strategist and pollster Doug Schoen stated this week that the Democrats' heavily favored 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is in big trouble. Schoen stated that the Benghazi scandal will more than likely haunt Hillary right up until the next general election in 2016.

Schoen's words had best not be ignored by political partisans...

The Gun Rights and Liberty News Roundup for 5/9/2013

Around O-Town links to three videos that show why our agencies cannot tell who the real enemies are.

Alphecca says that Democrats hope they can turn Texas blue. Sure they do. They are implementing the "Colorado Model" in Texas, North Carolina, and other states to do exactly that. But their success has been mixed.

Kurt Hofmann notes that although gun violence has plummeted, the gun control nuts want to change course anyway. Why?

Roberta X has an interesting story out of Columbus that focuses on BB guns and police officers.

From Mike Vanderboegh: "Will Tyranny Ever Come to America?"

CLO posts the latest on a Colorado Republican legislator who is trying to restrict gun rights.

WRSA declares that when injustice becomes law, resistance becomes our duty.

Brigid provides some words to the wise on safety.

David Codrea highlights an example of Chicago elitism...and hypocrisy, I might add.

Way Up North says Alaska has been buried under snow and record cold. Really, nearly the whole country has experienced the same thing this Spring.

Nicki shares her opinion on the Kokesh armed march on D.C. in July.

Standing By has "things that make liberals angry."

Traction Control correctly notes that there is only ONE OFFICE that could have given the stand down order to military personnel who were ready to help the diplomats slain in the Benghazi terrorist attack.

Pamela Geller posts some "Benghazi Bombshells."

The Twisters have a special message for Hillary Clinton on Benghazi.

Activists plan armed march into D.C.

A group of gun rights activists led by Adam Kokesh plans to march across the Arlington Memorial Bridge into Washington, D.C. carrying loaded rifles on July 4, 2013.

The act of civil disobedience will break D.C.'s stringent gun control laws and is designed to send a signal to government and gun control advocates that a line has been crossed in the gun rights debate and that citizens will no longer obey government restrictions on firearms.

Although the march has been the subject of much controversy within the gun rights community, many believe that the act of civil disobedience is long overdue and is entirely appropriate.

Obstruction of justice by State Dept.?

Excerpt:

"Most of what the whistleblowers told Congress today had already been leaked to the media. But new information surfaced today indicating that the State Department has possibly engaged in obstruction of justice by attempting to thwart Congressional investigators who are charged with discovering the truth."

Why Benghazi matters

Excerpt:

"So, what should Benghazi matter to ordinary Americans? Hillary Clinton's now-infamous exclamation in testimony before Congress captures perfectly the attitude of the dumbed down masses -- "What difference does it make?"  But it makes all the difference in the world that America has haphazardly dealt with politics in such a way as to make it possibly for chronic and habitual liars to make their way to the top offices of the land.

"The notion that the Benghazi massacre "happened so long ago" doesn't cut it. There is no statute of limitations on murder. And there is no statute of limitations on high crimes and misdemeanors in public office."

The Gun Rights and Liberty News Roundup for 5/6/2013

Kurt Hofmann reports that New Jersey's attempt to ban .50 caliber firearms could have unintended consequences that benefit gun rights enthusiasts.

David Codrea says that HuffPo is soliciting "gun violence stories" from readers so it can pump up the push for gun bans.

Mike Vanderboegh urges citizens to watch Colorado Democrats very closely. It matters who votes, and it matters who counts the votes. I sense shenanigans in the air in Colorado.

WRSA provides essential reading on progressive tyranny.

Karl Denninger shows how your purchasing power has been, for all intents and purposes, destroyed.

Way Up North asks and answers, "Should Christians give up their guns?"

Traction Control says there is good reason to be skeptical of an "open carry" march on Washington, D.C.

Nicki has an update on the high school senior who was expelled and charged with a felony for merely leaving his shotgun in his truck when he went to school.

Standing By posts a story on one of the wicked witches of the west, one of the liberal politicians that conservatives love to hate -- Dianne Feinstein.

Much obliged to John Jacob H for this post, which can be used as a reference for you Liberty Sphere readers who like my series, Musings After Midnight.

Brigid blogs on a hunting accessory that you may not have thought about. Does "Dirty Buck" ring a bell?

Golden Geese News explains that the late, great Andrew Breitbart has been vindicated on his controversial story called "The Pigford Scandal." Turns out it is true.

Days of our Trailers shows off a new toy he picked up at a gun show yesterday.

From Around O-Town: "Gun Grabbers Say the Darndest Things."

Pamela Geller reports that Canadians are fighting back against their pro-Sharia government's ban on free speech when it comes to Muslim terrorism.

Alphecca posts U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe's explanation of why DHS is buying up all the ammo. And by the way, you are not being paranoid if they really are out to get you.

Stand Up America has a full report on Glenn Beck's speech at the NRA. If you haven't seen it, this is a must-see! Beck never fails to deliver when it comes to public speaking.

CBS News: Counterterrorism team not activated in Benghazi attack

Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News is reporting bombshell information that sheds new light on the Benghazi attack in Libya, during which a U.S. ambassador and members of his security detail were massacred in a terrorist attack.

Mark Thompson, a counterterrorism expert who is scheduled to be a witness during Congressional hearings on the Benghazi attack Wednesday, told Attkisson that his special security team, called the Counterterrorism Security Group (CSG) was not activated during the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

Benghazi scandal set to explode on administration

Although the Benghazi debacle is far from the only scandal that has rocked the Obama administration, it has a very real potential of being the one scandal that could explode, blowing up right in the faces of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and other major administration officials.

The Fast and Furious scandal is in all likelihood far worse than Benghazi. But due to the current political landscape where politicians and the news media are determined to keep the administration's dirty little gun smuggling issue out of public view, Benghazi appears to be the one that has the most potential in unraveling public confidence in Obama, which already has been slipping in the polls over the past two months.
