Rand Paul energizes conservative movement

Traditionally in American politics very little separated conservatives from libertarians. Both stood for small government and low taxes. Both stood for creating a strong environment for business. Both believed that government should get out of the lives and business activities of citizens so that creativity and productivity could flourish.

The only difference between the two was in the area of foreign policy, and even then the differences were minimal as conservatives made it clear that war should be rare and if the nation goes to war it should be done by an official declaration from Congress, and, it should be fought to win outright, no holds barred.

The Bush era tended to widen the gap between conservatives and libertarians, however...

Pay no attention to the ads for Goober Lindsey

I see that Lindsey Graham has kicked his campaign into high gear now as he faces reelection in 2014. His ads are all over the place, on Google, including Blogspot, which is a Google platform, and the Examiner for which I write.

As for this blog, it is never to be assumed that I endorse anything advertised here unless I specifically say so. Google decides what goes on here. If I limit them, I make less money, and I am so destitute that less money literally means missing  some meals and not making a car insurance payment. Yes, it is that bad.

So, the only thing I will say is that as far as I'm concerned, Graham is a Goober. He is an idiot, a disgrace to the Senate, and an embarrassment to South Carolina. I rarely agree with him on anything except for the Benghazi debacle, and my friends, there is much MUCH more to being a U.S. senator than Benghazi.

I will NEVER vote for another Democrat as long as I live, not locally or nationally, since they are now the Socialist Party for all intents and purposes. And I am fed up to the hilt with the Republicans who lead the Party such as Goober Lindsey, John McLame, and Yellow Stains Boehner.

So, I suppose when it comes to the Senate race here in S.C., I am left with the Libertarian candidate, whatever nameless face it happens to be. I hate what this nation has become in the last decade.

US tyranny to increase for foreseeable future

A close friend who is politically astute, a Tea Party activist and Christian conservative, stated Wednesday in a private conversation that America as we know it is already lost, gone, destroyed.

And not a single shot was fired. This was done entirely through the electoral process, the courts, and a clear majority of the electorate that does not share the philosophy, the mindset, or the world-view of the Founders, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, or our nation's rich religious heritage.

An all-important threshold was crossed, quite imperceptibly and thus totally without notice, that brought the nation into what the Founders referred to as "the tyranny of the majority."

McCain, Graham blast Rand Paul

The snarling, obnoxious RINOS who always find a way to roast their own rather than the real enemies on the other side of the aisle have struck again. John McCain, R-Ariz, and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. blasted Rand Paul, R-Ky. for his 12 hour filibuster in the U.S. Senate Wednesday.

Sen. Paul filibustered Obama nominee John Brennan for CIA Director. The issue was the administration's drone program, which Attorney General Eric Holder claims gives the president the authority to kill Americans on U.S. soil without any due process of law whatsoever. Paul had help from only three other Republicans -- Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Mike Lee, R-Utah, and John Barrasso, R-Wyo.

Graham's response? The president needs the authority to kill Americans in cold blood on U.S. soil because "they may have been recruited by al Qaeda."

Drone plan reveals broader objective to kill Americans

The Obama administration's drone plan, which implements the use of predator drones to target and kill suspected terrorists overseas, took an ominous turn Tuesday when Attorney General Eric Holder stated that not only does the administration plan to use drones to kill suspected American terrorists on U.S. soil but that such a plan is entirely legal, even without due process of law.

Many conservatives and government watchdog groups have warned since the beginning of the plan that such a course of action is illegal, unconstitutional, and places the current administration in the role of a tyrannical government.

But Tuesday's announcement by Holder drew the most vociferous protests to date.

The War on Guns says that Democrats are caricaturing gun owners as snarling, mouth-breathing barbarians.

Day of reckoning for America is near

Everything points to a dreaded "day of reckoning" for America that many observers say is much closer than anyone realizes. That day only approaches more quickly, with lightening speed, each time the politicians unleash on the citizens their arrogance concerning the unalienable rights, particularly the gun rights, of citizens.

In Colorado, for example, where the Democrat controlled state legislature has proposed a sweeping gun ban bill that would strip citizens of the right to self defense and take the standard hunting shotgun out of the hands of hunters, a state legislator berated a rape survivor for claiming her chances for survival would have increased significantly if she had possessed a gun.

The 2A News Roundup--Top 10 for Monday, March 4, 2013

All guns and politics from the best gun rights and liberty bloggers on the Internet.

Kurt Hofmann says that a gun show organizer apparently likes the taste of leather worn by the jackbooted government thugs.

Mike Vanderboeh reports that the citizens of California are voting with their feet.

David Codrea has more news on the absolute, mindless, imbecilic absurdity of the nation's public schools and the mass gun hysteria. And we let these fools teach our young!

WRSA declares that there is no voting our way out of the current mega-mess we're in.

Way Up North gives us a rundown of some of the latest news from the great state of Alaska...

Tam provides a report from the firing range.

Standing By reports on the latest in the ongoing gun debate in America. An interesting description, for sure...

Days of our Trailers says that students at DePaul University think that our Constitution is out of date and that guns are scary. God help us all. I don't have much faith in the future of America anymore. Perhaps these "students" would be better served by being in vocational schools learning a trade since they are too intellectually bereft to be in college.

Every Blade of Grass informs us he has been teaching an NRA class on the basics of firearms. Good!

Pamela Geller writes of her latest skirmish with CPAC, which resulted in her being barred from the event. This is unconscionable given that the organization routinely invites Muslims with suspicious ties.

How far should we go to defend the Constitution?

How far should we go to defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that are designed to protect citizens from oppressive, tyrannical government? According to one thoughtful citizen, as far as it takes using any means necessary....

...Had it not been that the patriots in 1776 believed and practiced that all citizens have the right to defend themselves against tyranny with deadly firearms, then there would have been no new nation, no Constitution, no Bill of Rights, and no free society.

The patriots successfully broke away from Great Britain precisely because the citizens had firearms that were every bit as deadly as that possessed and used by the British army.

But what if such tyranny creeps back into the halls of government, not necessarily by an outside government but our own? The patriots had an answer for that too...
