Illegal gov't destruction of used ammo alarms gun owners

More evidence surfaced today indicating that the Obama administration is breaking  the law and defying official government policy by ordering the destruction of expended brass at military installations. The brass is often used by gun owners to make their own ammunition.

Gun rights enthusiasts often make their own ammunition in a process known as "reloading," the practice of taking the brass from once-fired used bullets to make homemade ammo.

Gun ban proponents provoke possible civil war

Within the last two weeks the forces of the progressive, ultra-liberal cabal have managed to amass a coordinated front to attack and render null and void the gun rights of average citizens as protected by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Gun rights enthusiasts say that such actions will provoke civil war.

Today, these forces appear to be simultaneously unleashing their attack on all fronts, from attempting to prevent citizens from gaining access to brass for the purpose of making their own ammunition to the push by leftwing extremists to bully banks into refusing to give loans to gun manufacturers, effectively putting them out of business.

Mike Vanderboegh provides a wealth of information on the Feinstein gun ban bill and several other issues at Sipsey Street today. Just go over there and start scrolling. All of it is vital information.

Kurt Hofmann reports the explosive story that a Missouri senator wants to "shame" gun owners. You gotta see this. Be prepared to get fighting mad.

David Codrea outs the leftwing nutcase gun-grabbers as hypocrites, which we have always known they are. They are using religion to push gun control...you know, the very ones who have been screaming "SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE" for the past four decades? What vermin.

From Way Up North: "Gun-Stealing Devil" (Video).

Tam has "The Doctor Gun." Read it. Good info.

Standing By shares a sobering analysis that explains why he has not been posting of late.

CLO provides the quote of the decade. Read it all. VITAL reading!

Days of our Trailers says that a bout with tonsillitis led a woman to the ranks of the gun rights advocates.

Pamela Geller reports the horrific news that Indonesia's largest Muslim group has proclaimed that female genital mutilation is a "human right." It is stuff like THIS that always confirms my belief that the Muslim religion, while listing some "moderates" within its ranks, is largely a barbaric, bloodthirsty religion that is repulsive to most thinking people, except, of course, for the liberals who support them.

Hillary fails Benghazi fact check

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before both the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Wednesday to provide her long-awaited testimony concerning the massacre in Benghazi, Libya at the U.S. consulate complex.

Clinton's testimony, however, failed to pass any rational fact check on what is now known about the massacre. Her statements left many more unanswered questions and few answers. And the answers she provided do not square with the facts or with previous testimony provided by a myriad of Obama administration officials.

The most glaring of the discrepancies in Clinton's testimony revolve around whether or not the administration monitored the events as they unfolded in Benghazi in real time. Clinton stated unequivocally that there was no real time monitor of events...

Some Republicans waffle on private gun sales

In spite of the fact that the Sandy Hook shooter did not violate any current firearms laws or use loopholes in those laws to gain access to guns, Democrats have focused on gun bans, universal registration of firearms and ammunition, and other gun control measures that include universal criminal background checks.

None of the current proposals would have prevented the shooter from perpetrating his horrific crimes. Current law worked in preventing him from purchasing guns, and had his mother kept her firearms properly secured in the home, he would not have gained access to them, either.

Yet Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats forged ahead with the most sweeping and restrictive gun control proposals in the history of the Republic...

The Twisters offer commentary on a very important and neglected subject in the ongoing culture war in America. We welcome The Twisters to The Liberty Sphere! You will find them listed under the "Websites" heading on the left column.

Pamela Geller notes that Hillary will testify before Congress tomorrow on Benghazi-gate. Note her hard-hitting commentary, not the least of which is the charge (which is true, by the way) that Hillary is a bare-faced liar.

Alphecca posts some excellent news out of Vermont. The proposed ban on "assault weapons" has been killed.

The Wandering Minstrel shows us his offering of defiance of any new anti-gun laws. Take a look.

Traction Control, who operates a federally licensed firearms and ammo business, available online, shares a list of what ammo is still available and what is not. Remember, there is a run on guns and ammo. The result is shortages and back orders.

Nicki says she has been lobbying the Virginia legislature in favor of gun rights. Good!

Roberta X posts some thought-provoking musings about the Capitol Dome and slavery.

Days of our Trailers reports on a mega-fail of an anti-gun rally. It's in two parts.

Kurt Hofmann correctly observes that the NRA is highly unlikely to strongly fight the proposed ban on private gun sales unless they are pushed to do so by their members. So, GET BUSY!!

Sheriffs warn Obama of deadly war over guns

Today's National Conservative Examiner takes a look at the news of a major Sheriff's Association that is warning Obama of a deadly war if he and Congress proceed with their plans to pass and enforce new gun registration, bans, and firearms control measures.

The latest shot across the bow is a growing trend.

And I also point out that the Obama Administration and big Leftists in the northeast have been attempting to strip county sheriffs of their authority. Wonder why?

The 2A News Roundup--Top Ten for Mon., Jan. 21, 2013

All guns and politics from the best gun rights and liberty bloggers on the Internet.

Mike Vanderboegh reports that Massachusetts is next in proposing draconian restrictions on the Second Amendment.

Kurt Hofmann says that a Congressman wants a ban on Internet high capacity magazine plans.

Brigid has a report on the Indy 1500 gun show.

The War on Guns alerts us to the fact that in Ohio apparently you can be arrested for declaring you will physically defend your home and property. My, what a despicable totalitarian little banana republic we're becoming. Can you image what our Founders said to anyone who threatened to take their property?

WRSA posts the latest from Matt Bracken on what the state of New York has done to average citizens who own guns.

Karl Denninger notes that as citizens begin to report tax increases that are shown in their lower pay checks, the woes are just beginning. Premium increases due to Obamacare are about to hit in dramatic fashion.

Way Up North shares the story of a bank that was robbed with a hammer. QUICK! Let's ban them!

Tam has a snarky response or two to the mainstream media's perpetual...uh...well, erection over the Messiah and his 2nd coronation today.

CLO maintains that apparently leftists see an asterisk after the words "shall not be infringed" in the Second Amendment. But there is none. Could they be psychotic? You know, optical hallucinations is a sign of psychosis, meaning of course that liberals really are mentally ill.

David Codrea offers an important read on the New York magazine ban.

N.Y. gun owners vow to defy new gun laws

Enraged by what they view as a direct assault on their Constitutional rights by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, D-N.Y., and the Democrat-controlled state legislature, gun owners across New York State vow to defy the new state-wide gun bans, registration, and gun control laws in a massive demonstration of civil disobedience.

According to the New York Post, organizers of the resistance movement estimate that tens of thousands of citizens will join the move to defy the new laws. At least one million New Yorkers own so-called "assault weapons," which are actually nothing more than semiautomatic guns that use large capacity magazines.

Military style weapons such as machine guns are already illegal in every state, a fact which belies the standard line of anti-gun advocates who erroneously claim that they only want to make illegal the military style weapons and machine guns.

N.Y. Republican releases secret list of Democrat gun control plans

A Republican Assemblyman of the state of New York released a secret list of Democrat proposals designed to severely undermine the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

In the wake of the Newtown, Conn. massacre, the state of New York passed the most restrictive and controversial gun bans and gun control laws in the nation. Unfortunately, most Republicans in the legislature went along with the Democrats in approving the measures that undermine the Second Amendment, which itself states that it "shall not be infringed."

Yet, in spite of the highly restrictive nature of the new laws, a N.Y. legislator says that a secret list of measures proposed by state Democrats would have gone much further if the Democrats had gotten their way.
