The Reagan Doctrine and Obama's Disgrace

Compare/contrast stellar examples of strength in foreign policy, such as Ronald Reagan in the U.S. and Winston Churchill in Great Britain on the one hand, with stark examples of failure, such as Barack Obama in the U.S. and Neville Chamberlain in Great Britain on the other.

Columbia Conservative Examiner does exactly that today in this article entitled, 'The Reagan Doctrine and Obama's Disgrace.'

It won't take long for astute readers to realize that what we are witnessing today in the White House is a recipe for abject failure and an intensification of danger around the world.

A Clear and Present Warning

The social-Darwinist ingredient in progressive jurisprudence is the notion of the state as an organic principle, informed by the general will of society and by the particular facts, circumstances, and history of a people. Subject to no fixed limits, eschewing belief in objective justice, the state follows a path of incessant growth and flexibility, limited only by the ever-changing needs of society. As dictated by the laws of progress and evolution, the state moves society along an inevitable ascent. By application of “scientific” expertise and rationalizing administration, government directs this growth. Expressly left behind is Madisonian constitutionalism and its notions of natural rights, limited government, the rule of law, prevention of faction, and vigilance against the possibility of overly centralized and unaccountable government.

Need I say that Barack Obama and his minions represent the precise attack on the Constitution as described above? Read the whole thing at National Review Online.

Wait Till You See What Illinois Police Told Women About Self-Defense!

David Codrea has the story.

Unbelievable! Just as you don't bring a knife to a gun-fight, you don't tell women or anyone else to face intruders and thugs with a barf-bag.

You have to read the story to get it.

The best thing any of us can do to be prepared in these dangerous times is to buy a gun, learn how to use it, and practice, practice, practice at the shooting range!

Today's Polls

Scott Rasmussen, pollster extraordinaire, has all of the latest.

Some of the more interesting info--

50% of American now disapprove of Obama's job performance while 49% approve. 56% of Americans disapprove of the Obama-Democrat healthcare proposals--that number has risen in the last week.

Name-Dropping

William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn stood trial for murder and for blowing up federal buildings back in the 1970s. Dohrn was convicted but before Ayers could receive a sentence, the feds dropped the case.

Both Ayers and Dohrn have stated publicly that they wish they had done more as part of the subversive, domestic terrorist group 'Weather Underground,' although people died and government buildings were bombed.

Barack Obama has denied knowing about Ayers, yet his closest friend and political operative, Valerie Jarrett, is close friends with Ayers and Dohrn. Obama has described his relationship with Jarrett as being 'like a sister.'

Jim Jones helps run Apollo. Jones was also part of the Weather Underground. Jones helped write the stimulus package for Obama and Congressional Democrats.

Vann Jones, the disgrace self-avowed Communist who recently resigned as Obama's 'green jobs czar' is also part of the Apollo group.

My point? Does Barack Obama have any friends, close associates, or political allies who are not shady characters who have been involved in dangerous, illegal activities? And how can anyone say with a straight face that after all of these years of close associations with these thugs Obama has remained clean as snow falling from heaven?

Only One ACORN Fell From This Tree

Congress voted this past week to de-fund ACORN, the community-activist organization front-group for the 'get out the vote for Obama' campaign. They will not get any more of our tax dollars, supposedly.

That is, unless you consider that the group has dozens of subsidiary organizations that go under different names, each getting their own share of the taxpayers' booty.

But this tree has dozens of acorns that need to fall, not the least of which are SEIU, the Apollo Alliance, the Tides Foundation, and many others--organizations that are also in bed with Obama and get millions if not billions from the public treasury.

By the way, Apollo actually wrote TARP-II, the Obama stimulus package approved by Congress without even being read. No wonder nobody knows what's in these bills anymore--Congress isn't writing the bills as they are required under the Constitution. They are being written by special interest groups with a vested interest in getting certain things funded under the radar screen.

And we all know what a fiasco the stimulus bill was--the bailout of Wall Street big-shots who duped the American people and sent the economy into a tailspin.

Oh, and just so you know, the 'Daddy War-Bucks' who is behind most of these murky, sleazy organizations around Obama is none other than George Soros, the billionaire who wishes to bring down American capitalism.

Now It's All About Women

Michelle Obama came out of hiding to delve into politics once again, this time giving a speech claiming that government-run healthcare is a 'women's issue.'

Have you ever noticed that each time Progressives wish to get the upper hand on an issue they claim 'women are being shortchanged,' and therefore government must do something to fix it?

At the present time in America women are probably getting better care than any of the identified 'minority' groups. Most hospitals have special programs just for women, such as birthing centers, mammogram programs, reproductive health, and the like. I don't notice these facilities providing 'men's health centers.'

I don't have a problem with any of this. I'm just saying that Michelle is creating a crisis where there clearly isn't one.

Pax Parabellum posts updated info on the House and Senate votes to strip ACORN from federal funding.

Meeting on the Green comments on 'Dear Leader's' dreadfully dangerous move yesterday to nix the missile shield defense from Eastern Europe. I'm sure the hungry bears of Russia and Iran are doing cartwheels.

Say Uncle notes that the Brady Campaign against guns may be getting ready to change tactics.

And now, my friends, for your Friday afternoon reading pleasure, and to get your weekend started off with a chuckle, The Ol' Broad presents the political editorial cartoon of the day. You gotta see this!

Obama's Smoking Gun on the Healthcare Bill

Remember when Joe Wilson shouted, 'YOU LIE' to Obama during the healthcare speech before Congress? Wilson was clearly upset about Obama's claim that the healthcare package 'will not cover illegal aliens.'

Since that time the President has been on the defensive, claiming he has no intention of signing a bill that includes healthcare coverage for illegals.

But you knew there had to be a catch, didn't you? Read all about it at Columbia Conservative Examiner.

It seems Obama has a scheme up his sleeve to get all those illegals covered through the 'back door.'

Second Amendment News Roundup for 9/17/09

Focusing on guns, politics, and news of interest, here is today's Second Amendment News Roundup:

Texas Fred provides a vital update on his daughter's health. She's been in ICU for an extended period. He now knows the cause, and it's something our illustrious government at the CDC wants to keep from the public!

GunRights4US has a 'mega-cool video about guns.'

John Jacob H provides commentary on the current war between David Codrea and Free Republic. Free Republic, in my opinion, has handled this unfairly since Examiner writers are independent contractors and hold the copyright to their own articles. But as for now, we are all banned from posting our articles at Free Republic, for better or worse.

ACORN--What Did Obama Know?

The age old question, 'What did the President know and when did he know it?, is increasingly vital now that the ACORN scandal has broken wide open.

Columbia Conservative Examiner will help you connect the dots.

This scandal is so serious it may well stretch all the way from ACORN's small central office in New Orleans straight to the Oval Office!

Never forget that Obama is this, and never forget that his stimulus package passed by Congress including BILLIONS for ACORN. Before this is over, lots of sleazy politicians may be going down.

Free in Idaho provides great reading today entitled, simply, 'Outrage!'

Tam posts an interesting read on 'pocket pistols.'

Conservative Libertarian Outpost notes that the Obamanoids are now trying to make any criticism of Obama all about race. Notice to Obamanoids--I don't give a flying flip what color you are. I despise Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Hoyer, Leahy, and Waxman every bit as much as I do Obama!

Texas Fred warns us that there is more trouble brewing at the southern border.

Bloviating Zeppelin has a very important post on the laws regarding the U.S. Census. Read it all.

Rough Day

Folks, it's been a rough day. I have days like this on an intermittent basis, so it is not entirely unexpected.

So sorry for the fact that there is no Roundup today. But it could not be helped.

I will in all likelihood be back up and running tomorrow. That's usually the way it works.

In the meantime, you who are regular readers may want to scroll down the sidebar and click on some recommended blogs and other websites. They are all very good.

You can also help me by clicking on my link to the Columbia Conservative Examiner site and reading my article today. Thanks to all of you who are faithful readers.

The Quickest Way Out of an Economic Crisis

The answer is from U.S. history--1920-21.

Did you know we had a Depression in 1920? It only lasted a little over a year. By August of 1921 the economy was roaring again, and that led to what is known as the 'Roaring 20s' when prosperity spread throughout every sector of the economy.

Columbia Conservative Examiner describes how we got out of it so quickly.

HINT--the government did the exact OPPOSITE of what we are doing now!

From Gun Rights Examiner: 'Why Is Mainstream Media Silent on ATF Corruption Charges?'

Codrea also comments that the Yale student who was found dead in a Yale University wall never had a fighting chance given the disarmament policies of the university.

Conservative Libertarian Outpost warns us that a true Leftwing nutcase, Cass Sunstein, is now in a position of great power in the Obama administration. This is not good, folks!

Standing By notes that there has been a disgusting display of willful ignorance concerning radical Islam and the 9/11 attack.

Traction Control has a great pictorial today which he entitles, simply, 'Guns.'

The Wandering Minstrel posts good reading on Gun Bloggers and Project Valour IT.

Ride Fast and Shoot Straight has the Gun Bloggers Rendezvous 'show and tell.' Take a look.

Nicki presents a VERY strongly worded message to those who advocate for government control of healthcare. Right on. Warning to those who object to strong language--if you can't overlook that minor consideration, then don't read it. But as for me, I fully understand where she's coming from and the language used is indicative of the rage. That rage is entirely understandable.

Robb Allen quips that he didn't win the Para GI expert, but congratulates those who provided the means by which to benefit a good cause.

Sebastian posts a timely update on the state of gun sales in the U.S.

Authorities 'Taken By Surprise'

Well, it seems the authorities were 'taken by surprise' by the size of the protest march in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, according to one major newspaper.

Columbia Conservative Examiner provides commentary on this story.

It seems the political elitists are running scared, but now they are in their denial stage.

Leftwing Lies About Attendance at D.C. March

The radical, extremist, Obamanoid, Leftwing machine has kicked into high gear attempting to underestimate the attendance at yesterday's massive march on D.C.

Columbia Conservative Examiner blows the whistle on the lies.

I even read some laughable estimates that put the crowd at 30,000. ROFL!! Desperation.
