"The Revenge of Che"

On numerous occasions The Liberty Sphere has decried the lifting of Castro's butcher/mass murderer Che Guevara to hero status by college students, Obama supporters, and others of the liberal persuasion.

As we have stated before, Obama campaign offices around the country had pictures of Che hanging on their walls. Tee-shirts with the image of the Communist hitman are a hit on campuses.

And immediately following Barack Obama's election, a statue of Che Guevara was erected in Central Park in New York City.

A new article on Che by Mark Goldblatt is of particular interest, because it delineates in stark detail the horrors perpetrated by Che in order to advance Communism in Cuba and other areas.

To whet your appetite, here is an excerpt:
Oh, and here’s Che lamenting the outcome of the Cuban Missile Crisis: “If the missiles had remained, we would have used them against the very heart of America including New York. We must never establish peaceful coexistence. In this struggle to the death between two systems we must gain the ultimate victory. We must walk the path of liberation even if it costs millions of atomic victims.”

Thus, in essence Che wanted to take the 'revolution' for Communism to the U.S. mainland by firing Soviet nuclear bombs into the heart of New York City.

Some 'hero,' eh?

The problem with those who are enamored with socialism/communism is that they don't think that "We must walk the path of liberation even if it costs millions of atomic victims." is going to include them.

I'm certain that Trotsky never thought that the system he helped bring about in Russia would turn as monstrously evil as it was and is. He obviously had this "genteel" concept of what the reordering of society would be.

It cost him a crushed skull.

The problem with the liberals has now spread throughout our entire society, even in "fundamental, Bible-believing churches" because they have, in their hearts, dispensed with the understanding that Scripture plainly teaches, and that the Founding Fathers knew:

And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. (Genesis 8:21)

"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself." (Federalist 51)

No, they think that we are "all basically good" and that "given the right conditions" man will "rise to his highest potential." If only they can rid society of the "negative ones," the ones with "defective genetics," and "bad thinking," they can have a "Utopian paradise."

I would say that never were a generation more full of fools than this one. But I would be wrong:

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)

There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. (Proverbs 30:11-14)

And in their pride, so what if it costs millions of lives, so long as it's not them, the "enlightened ones."

It could be out of ignorance of history, which started with Che's own fictional diary. And what happens when pop culture collides with historical fiction and their own ideology? Well, fiction wins out, of course, and to hell with the people who might be offended by it.

Paul, Trostsky's crushed skull under normal circumstances would be THE ultimate symbol of the failure of Communism. But, as TJP said, perhaps the rampant ignorance of the masses is part of the problem. The other part is the intent of those who know better but who intentionally wish to keep the masses ignorant and dependent.

Che was a murdering scum. The people enamored w/ him think he just rode around South America on his motorcycle righting wrongs.

They'ld be amazed at the hundred of individuals he had murdered all in the name of 'Communism'.

"No one who is not a member of a revolutionary organization has the right to bear arms in this territory."

Ernesto "Che" Guevara , Military Order No. 1, 1958.

You nailed it, Third...a murdering scumbag.

In Cuba alone he murdered thousands in an attempt to minimize opposition to Castro's revolution.

Very funny, hammerhead.

Actually, he was going to drop them all over the U.S.

A friend of mine wears a Che t-shirt (ironically, as he's as pro-gun, pro-capitalism and anti-government as anyone I know). You'd be surprised how positively it is received.

It's funny, so long as you don't let it depress you.

John,

So what's the reasoning behind the wearing of a Che t-shirt by one who is pro-gun, pro-liberty, anti-government?
